Parliament of India

Description

The Sansad Bhawan is the house of the Parliament of India, situated in New Delhi. Originally called the House of Parliament. The British architect Edwin Lutyens established it and Herbert Baker in 1912-1913 and construction began in 1921. The opening ceremony of the Parliament House was performed on 18 January 1927 by Lord Irwin, the then Viceroy of India. The Parliament Museum is opened in 2006, located next to the Parliament House.

Except the fact that the Parliament was constructed under British supervision but our Indian Architecture is also shown in the form of chajjas and jali which is done by Indians. Thus our architecture has some uniqueness so that's why British use this in the construction of The most beautiful building.
